What is Sustainable Design?
Sustainable design is a commitment to environmentally responsible production methods. It means understanding how different paper stocks and inks impact the environment, making environmentally friendly choices between print and web, and even extends to reducing waste and recycling in the office and using environmentally friendly cleaning supplies.
At Susan Marx Design we are pursuing all of these. We can help you understand the choices available in eco-friendly paper stocks and with printers who use vegetable-based ink. We are conservative in our paper use and can help you decide if a project needs to be a printed piece or if the audience can be reached better and less wastefully online.
Finally, in our own office we practice what we preach. We have reduced waste, we recycle, and we use environmentally friendly cleaning supplies.
